We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of all computer systems and networks. Responsibility

• System Installation and Configuration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer networks, including local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs), and ensure network security and connectivity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Set up new user accounts and profiles, and manage access permissions.
  • Radius Server configuration and AAA Services.
• Technical Support:
  • Provide first-level support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Respond to technical support tickets and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Offer remote and on-site support as needed.
• Network Management:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance to ensure systems are operating optimally and securely.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of VPNs and other remote access solutions.
• System Maintenance:
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Conduct routine audits of systems and software to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Document all technical procedures, system configurations, and user guides.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, support ticket resolution, and network health.
• Project Involvement:
  • Assist in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to deliver integrated solutions.
• Training and Development:
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices for using IT systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar technical support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, and familiarity with Linux is a plus.
• Previous experience with the Oil and Gas sector will be preferred.
• In-depth understanding of network protocols, configurations, and security.
• Proficiency in hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are advantageous.
